World Basketball Manager 2 for PC is a sports manager tackling an infrequent theme of basketball. Itís a continuation of World Basketball Manager, released in 2004, which was updated for some years after the premiere. The series has been developed and maintained by a Greek studio Icehole Games.

Gameplay

In the vein of typical sports managers, we donít directly take over the team during the matches, but we manage it in all other areas. We choose the composition of the team, make transfers, search for sponsors, choose the tournaments in which we want to participate, organize training sessions, plan the tactics for the field, take care of the psychological condition of our players, control public relations on the press conferences, monitor the activity of rival teams, etc.

Technical aspects

Essentially, World Basketball Manager 2 for PC is a somewhat improved edition of the previous installment. The said title has taken over the resources included in the first title that were updated for over a decade, which means a database including over 100 licensed national and international tournaments, 1100 teams, 20000 players and 1200 managers. The new installment increases the number of available options, and introduces various improvements in the technological area. Among them we can find a new interface, which became much more legible and user-friendly, as well as a two-dimensional match engine, offering more realistic match course thanks to improved AI.

The fact that you can transfer your saved game between the both productions is the best evidence of the close relationship between the first installment of World Basketball Manager and the sequel.
