World War Z x The Walking Dead

World War Z and The Walking Dead are among the most significant entertainment franchises dedicated to the theme of a zombie apocalypse. Despite their similar themes, they have many differences. However, Saber Interactive Studio managed to combine them by developing World War Z x The Walking Dead - a crossover expansion for their coop shooter.

New features in the expansion

The biggest novelty introduced in World War Z x The Walking Dead is the inclusion of four characters known from the TV series The Walking Dead. They are Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Michonne, and Negan. Three story chapters have been prepared for them, set in iconic locations such as the Prison, Alexandria, and Grady Memorial Hospital.

Additionally, the developers have provided the iconic weapons of each character. Negan eliminates the undead with his baseball bat named Lucille, Michonne uses her katana, Rick uses his revolver, and Daryl shoots enemies with a crossbow. Moreover, the creators have introduced a new type of adversary - the spiked "walker."
