Games where we watch the action from two completely different perspectives, depending on what we are doing at the moment, are few and far between. Joining this select group is You Will Die Here Tonight - an oldschool survival horror game that is the debut project of the independent American studio Spiral Bound Interactive.

Gameplay

As the title suggests, death is an integral part of the gameplay in You Will Die Here Tonight. When a character falls in battle, the remaining expedition members feel the consequences of their departure from this world. It's up to us to ensure this doesn't happen too often.

Combat and changing perspective

Speaking of combat, it's when we face opponents that the perspective from which the action is presented changes. During exploration, events are viewed from a bird's-eye view, but when we draw our weapons, the camera shifts to a first-person perspective (FPP).
