Graveyard Keeper: What happens when I die?

There is a death mechanic in Graveyard Keeper. It is often used by NPCs during story-related missions. This page contains causes of deaths, as well as their consequences.

How can I die?

In Graveyard Keeper you can die only when you run out of health points. Those are lost during encounters with monsters, both in the village and in the dungeons. What is more, there is an option to die immediately - all you need to do is to simply walk into flames that can be found in the basement, resulting in an instantaneous death.

Consequences of death

If you are afraid that death will end your game, take away all of your possessions or make you lose several precious hours of your life, you can relax, as none of that will take place. Death in Graveyard Keeper will not take away any points, resources or hours - if you die, you will respawn in your bed shortly afterwards.

Thanks to that, death can function as a teleport. It is an easy way to get back to your home without the need to run through the entire map.
