On this page of the Life is Strange guide you’ll find all decisions from Episode 1 (Chrysalis) along with their consequences. It should be mentioned that the decisions affect the events in the game, but no achievement involves them.
Decision #1
The first decision is in the moment of your conversation with Daniel. You can either let him draw the picture of you or not. That decision has no consequence in this episode, but it can in the future.
Choice: You let Daniel draw your portrait
Consequences:
Chapter 1
Max's portrait will be posted on her Facebook profile.
Warren will mention Max's portrait.
Chapter 2
Daniel will talk about the portrait in the classroom.
Chapter 4
Daniel will be easily convinced to come to the party.
Choice: You didn't let Daniel draw your portrait
Consequences:
Chapter 4
Daniel will be convinced to come to the party only if Max uses her powers.
Decision #2
The second one is in the moment of your talk with the teacher Ms. Grant. You can either sign in the petition that will enable Chloe's stepfather introduce the rigorous monitoring in school. No consequences in this episode.
Choice: You signed petition.
Consequences:
Chapter 2
Mrs. Grant mentions Max's help in the classroom.
Chapter 3
The petition ends in a success.
Chapter 4
Mrs. Grant thanks Max for her help.
Choice: You didn't sign the petition.
Consequences:
Chapter 2
Mrs. Grant mentions no help from Max in the classroom.
Chapter 3
The petition ends in a failure.
Chapter 4
Mrs. Grant mentions that Max could have helped her earlier.
Decision #3
The third one is the one when you either are giving Alyssa a warning about a ball coming towards her or you can go forward without saying anything. No consequences in this episode.
Choice: Warn
Consequences:
Chapter 1
Max can take an additional photo.
The window glass in Prescott's room remains broken until the end of the game.
Chapter 4
If Max saves Alyssa for 4 times, she will dedicate her Robert Frost's poem.
Choice: No action
Consequences:
Chapter 1
Max cannot take an additional photo.

Alyssa does not dedicate Max the poem by Robert Frost.
Decision #4
The next one is the moment in the dormitory. Namely, the situation in which you have the possibility to get rid of the offensive picture next to the entrance to Kate's room. No consequences in this episode.
Max can mention her actions during the situation on the rooftop.
Decision #5
The next one is in your room in the dormitory. You can either water your plant or not. No consequences in this episode.
Choice: Watered
Consequences:
Chapter 2
Lisa looks healthy.
Chapter 3
If Max watered the plant only in episodes 1 or 2, Lisa will survive.
If Max watered the plant in both episodes 1 and 2, Lisa will die out of excess of water.
Choice: No action
Consequences:

Lisa has withered.
Chapter 3
If Max watered the plant only in episodes 1 or 2, Lisa will survive.

Decision #6
The next decision is the moment when you are in Dany's room. You will find a pregnancy test, which you can see. The consequence of that decision will be Dany's comment that you are nosy.
Choice: Look on Dana's pregnancy test
Consequences:
Chapter 1
Dana will get angry with Max for her looking at somebody else's stuff.
Chapter 2
Max can apologize to Dana for her behavior.
Chapter 4
Dana will tell Max that Trevor knows about protection.

Dana will confide in Max and respects her intuition.
Chapter 2
Dana will be happy that she could confide in Max.

Chapter 2
Dana invites Max to a party.

Decision #7
The next decision concernes the moment when you are in Victoria's room and pictures on the wall. If you want to collect all of the photos to your journal you need to mess up the photos on the wall and take a photo of them. No consequences in this episode.
Choice: Mess Up
Consequences:
Chapter 1
Max can take a photo.
Chapter 2
Victoria smears something on the board by Max's room.
Chapter 3
Victoria will steal cookies from Max's room.
Choice: No action
Consequences:
Chapter 1
Max cannot take a photo.
Chapter 3
Victoria will not steal cookies from Max's room.
Decision #8
The eighth decision is the moment when you can draw something on the window of the van. You need to do that to collect all of the photos to your journal. No consequences in this episode.
Decision #9
The next one is when you are searching through Chloe's house. You need to get to her parent's room to get the access to the window, You will find a bird on a sill, you can either save it by opening a window or not. No consequences in this episode.
Choice: Save the bird

Chapter 3
A bird appears in Chloe's house
Chapter 4
Max can save the bird in Chloe's house.
Choice: No action
Consequences:

A bird does not appear in Chloe's house

Max cannot save the bird in Chloe's house.
Decision #10
You will come cross this decision Chile searching through Chloe's room. You will find a box in a closet, taking it out will end in breaking the crystal ball. You can change that by going back in time.
Choice: Search
Consequences:
Chapter 3
The smashed snowglobe is in Chloe's room.
Chapter 4
Max can comment on the condition of the snowglobe.
Choice: Search
Consequences:

The snowglobe (intact) is in Chloe's room.
Chapter 4
Max can comment on the presence of the snowglobe.
Decision #11
The last but one decision in this episode is the moment of searching through the garage. You'll find some files there which will fall into an oil stain. You can change that by going back in time.

Consequences:
Chapter 1
David mentions that during the argument he has with Chloe.
Choice: Didn't Left document on the floor
Consequences:
Chapter 1
David will not know that someone ran through his documents.
Decision #12
The last decision is during the searching the Chloe's garage. You'll find there the same files which were mentioned in the decision #11. You need to decide whether to see what's written in them or to go back in time with no knowledge about their content. Reading them will unblock additional line in the conversation that you'll have on the bench with Chloe.
Choice: Read David files
Consequences:
Chapter 1
Max can tell Chloe about the documents during the conversation near the lighthouse.
Chapter 3
Chloe will mention that during the argument with David.
Choice: Didn't read David files
Consequences:
Chapter 1
Chloe will say during the conversation near the lighthouse that she wants Max to read David's documents.
