This page explains whether players can change servers and move their characters across them in Lost Ark.
When starting the game for the first time, the player chooses one of the servers (continental and more local from a long list). By default, you can create up to 6 different characters on each server. Unfortunately - you can only choose a server once. Therefore, if you want to invite your friends to join you, you all have to end up on the same server.
It is possible that in the future the game will offer the possibility to transfer characters and progress to another server. If this happens, it will probably be a paid option, similarly to changing your character's name or appearance.
