All new opponents are deployed around the gas station. Pod Tank is among them and we suggest sneaking up with Magnus near this powerful mutant in order to use Puppeteer's ability.

If mind control succeeds, Pod Tank is perfect for distracting opponents and will be heavily weakened or killed by them before the ability stops working. Otherwise, quickly retreat and focus your team's attacks on this enemy to get rid of him as soon as possible.

In this battle, enemies like Pod Jumper will torment you once more. The tactics of fighting them depends to a large extent on whether they go towards the team or start hiding somewhere. In the example shown in the image, these opponents were hiding on the roof of a petrol station and it is a perfect opportunity to e.g. throw grenades at them.

Pod Rooter and several Pod Burners will appear among your enemies during the battle. In case of Rooter, remember to put your team behind good covers, where they will not become useless even after they are grounded. After winning the battle, use the elevator to The Ark (behind the elevator you may find a hidden note).
