Mutant Year Zero Road to Eden: The Rot Warren World Atlas

This page of the Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden atlas offers a detailed walkthrough for The Rot Warren. This is a optional area that sees us encounter a group of ghouls hiding in an underground bunker. Our guide contains information what kinds of mutants can be encountered and what items can be looted from the area.

The Rot Warren - basic data

Opponents - Shaman (level 35), Pyro (level 35), Hunter (level 35), Marauder (level 35), Butcher (level 35), Med-Bot (level 35).

Suggested level - 35.

Connected to - The Sea Titans (always available), Lair of the Horned Devil (always available).

Unique loot - Gladiator Armour - An armor offering 2 health points, 2 armor points, and protection against critical hits.

Loot - Note - Bunker Life.

The Rot Warren - Encounters and unique locations

The area outside of the bunker does not contain any opponents, so you don't need to sneak. The party will encounter a damaged mech that can be investigated.

The most important area is marked in the screenshot above. It's an entrance to a underground bunker. Save your progress before entering the bunker, as it contains a large group of opponents.

Start sneaking once you get to the lowest level of the bunker. A group of opponents is encountered in the biggest room of the bunker, but begin with eliminating a med-bot that is found in one of the side rooms.

Once the battle begins, consider making a stand in one of the smaller rooms, for example the one shown in the screenshot above, as it is located in the corner and has only two entrances. You can place your party members next to the entrances and eliminate incoming opponents one by one.

One of the encountered opponents is a shaman. The enemy can summon reinforcements that will appear in the corridor leading to the exit from the bunker. Fortunately, the summoned opponents are rather weak. If you want, you can use mind control on the encountered group - this ability works through walls.

If you win the battle, proceed to the main room and talk to the saved person (Ebba - the cook (screenshot above)). Continue by searching the whole bunker for additional loot. The bunker contains a chest with an unique reward and a note.
