Before the February release of Tomb Raider Iâ??III Remastered, developers from Aspyr Media discussed their work. In an extensive entry on the PlayStation blog, the creators described in detail the process of refreshing the trilogy that generations of gamers grew up with.
At the beginning, the authors explained that their main goal was to preserve what made the audience love the adventures of Lara Croft decades ago.
We had a firm belief that the gameplay of Tomb Raider I, II, and III is timeless, and with our use of the existing source code, we had every jump, secret, enemy, and puzzle exactly as the original development team designed and intended. (Chris Bashaar, Director of Product at Aspyr)
Despite this, the creators have introduced a number of novelties and quality-of-life improvements that will contribute to an even better interaction with cult productions.
Below, you can view a few screens presenting Tomb Raider I-III Remastered.
Finally, be reminded that Tomb Raider I-III Remastered will be released on February 14. The refreshed trilogy will be available on PC and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
