Baldur's Gate 3 got new update. Characters will no longer look like people who don't know how to use a webcam
Although the Larian studio has already focused mainly on its new game, it is not forgetting Baldur's Gate 3. The latest patch for the RPG introduces a number of technical improvements, including one very important for modders.

Even though Patch 8 was supposed to be the last big update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian Studios isn't planning to abandon its popular RPG. The developers have redirected most of the resources to a new, still mysterious project, but they still take care of polishing this award-winning game.
The result of this work is the latest minor patch, which has just been added to the game. The update mainly focuses on bug fixes and technical improvements, which should particularly please the community of modders and players using the Xbox console version.
One of the key changes is the extension of the time limit when trying to publish large mods. Thanks to this, we will avoid the annoying error "Task has been cancelled," which until now could effectively discourage sharing more complex modifications.
The patch also solves the problem with "really weird character portraits," which, as players noticed, appeared after the launch of Patch 8. This bug made the character avatars look oddly framed, which not only ruined the aesthetic experience during the game but could also cause some psychological discomfort. Some fans even joked that the party members in the game looked like users who use Zoom.
As I mentioned, owners of Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox Series X and S can also breathe a sigh of relief. The update fixes some annoying issues, including the game freezing when reaching a new level and crashes when trying to load a saved game after a previous crash.
Although larger patches are no longer planned, it is clear that Larian is keeping a close eye on its flagship title - much to the delight of fans and modders.
