Original news (July 18)

The fact that the presentation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is fast approaching was revealed not only in recent leaks from Tom Henderson, but also from the actions that Activision Blizzard is taking.

  • The developers of the series published an interesting poll on Twitter, in which they asked players "whether the operators, weapons and kits from MWII should be transferred to Call of Duty 2023".
  • Users were given a choice of two answers: "yes" and "yes, when announcement?".

The above entry was addressed by Jason Schreier, among others. The journalist for Bloomberg recalled that he had already reported in February that Call of Duty 2023 will be a direct sequel to last year's CoD. Initially, the game was only supposed to be a DLC for MWII as part of a two-year support for the shooter. Over time, however, the title has grown into a standalone sequel.

So when should we expect the official presentation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III?

  1. If Tom Henderson is to be believed, the announcement of the next installment is less than a month away.
  2. This is quite likely given the fact that during Microsoft's recent hearings by the Federal Trade Commission there was a information that the game would be released this November.

So there is nothing left for us to do but to be patient and await news from the Activision camp. These should also please users of PlayStation consoles, because under the agreement between Sony and Microsoft, the Americans have pledged to deliver future installments of the iconic shooter to Japanese company's devices for the next ten years.
