Warhammer fans can't complain about a lack of attractions. Besides regular updates with new content for Space Marine 2, released in September last year (which will soon also receive a new gameplay mode), fans of this universe are being spoiled by Fatshark studio. As part of the Warhammer Skulls event, we learned what new features will be added to Warhammer 40K: Darktide and Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

Darktide with a new character class

The biggest news for Darktide players is the release of the DLC, which will launch on June 23 on PS5, XSX/S, and PC. The add-on is supposed to cost 11.99 euros and will introduce a new character class to the game, the Arbitrator.

Representatives of this class are ruthless, and they pursue all "heretics and traitors" of the Lex Imperialis with extraordinary precision. In battles, they are helped by cybernetic companions - deadly war dogs of the mastiff breed.

  1. Arbitrators can give their dogs commands to massacre enemies and provide support to the strike group. Similarly to the main character, the animal will be able to be freely personalized.
  2. The new class will have access to 80 talents and three combat styles.
  3. The DLC will give you access to some cool new weapons: the Arbites shotgun, a storm shield with a pistol, and a powerful melee weapon called the Dominator Maul.

Also, on the day of the Warhammer 40,000: Darktide expansion release, there will be a free update with a lot of new content. This is to focus on improving the game's storytelling so that players have a better experience completing missions and exploring the game's storyline.

The new "selected quests path" is designed to guide players better through the city of Tertium, which is supposed to be linked to the "escalating" difficulty level, which will also undergo changes. This improved system is supposed to be more focused on the player's own skills, not on leveling up.

It's worth mentioning the Skulls event, which starts in Darktide. As part of the in-game event, special totems will appear that you'll need to destroy along with the enemies they summon. During this time, limited decorative elements will return, which players will unlock for completing challenges.

Update to Vermintide 2

Today, Fatshark Studios released the final mission for the Warhammer 40K: Vermintide 2 campaign. The Well of Dreams concludes the story presented in the production and is available for all game owners on PS4, PS5, XOne, and XSX/S.

In addition to the new map in Vermintide 2, there's a limited-time event where you can unlock lots of cool cosmetic stuff and more. Skulls for the Skull Throne will last until June 1st.

Along with the final mission, a large patch, numbered 6.6.0, has been added to the game. This patch fixes a number of bugs and introduces quality of life improvements. Among other changes, the behavior of bots in assisting players has been enhanced, and the ability to remove unwanted bonuses has been added.
