We learned about plans for expansions to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The developers also mentioned mod support.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2024, so any new information about this title is welcomed with great interest. Sir Tobi, who works at Warhorse studio, revealed the latest specifics in an interview.
One of the most interesting topics discussed was the issue of mods. As it turns out, the devs don't plan to officially support fan modifications on consoles. Sir Tobi was also unable to definitively confirm whether the tools will be made available on PC.
However, if the developers choose to do so, they will attempt to make it happen sooner than in the case of the first installment (where we waited a year and a half for official support). Developers realize that the sooner they do it, the larger and more active the modding community around Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be.
In the interview, Sir Tobi also informed that the Warhorse studio has no plans to update the next-gen version of the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance, as the developers don't have the processing capacity for it. At least for now, there is no indication that such a patch could have been created without support from another team.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is coming to PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. The game is scheduled to debut this year.
For now, Warhorse isn't able to provide a more precise date. In the interview, Sir Tobi assured that work is progressing at a very good pace and something unpredictable would have to happen for the game to be delayed until 2025.
