Hell Let Loose has gained attention for attempting to portray historical World War II battles in the most realistic way possible. In the game, two teams of fifty players, further divided into platoons, try to take over and maintain specific positions and supply lines. Developers from studio Team17 focus on realism. For many gamers this notion is connected with proximity voice chat. Here is what we know about this feature in HLL.
Hell Let Loose does support the proximity voice chat feature; however, it is strictly limited to friendly units. That means you can talk with your platoon even if the enemy is hiding nearby and they will not hear you.
While this decision by the developers to limit proximity chat to allies might be seen as controversial, it allows to focus on communication and discourages toxic behaviour.
