EA Sports FC 24 on First Trailer; Gamers Laugh at Cover Art
The highly anticipated EA Sports FC 24 received its first trailer. Despite the warm reception of the video, the attention of some players focused on the rather controversial cover.
Electronic Arts has unveiled the first trailer of EA Sports FC 24 - the direct successor to the FIFA series. The video was appreciated by many gamers... which can not be said about the game's cover revealed at a similar time.

Te trailer of the upcoming game presents the silhouettes of many well-known players as part of one team. The trailer strongly emphasizes the team nature of soccer, while suggesting the possibility of free choice between clubs and national teams:
"You can represent your favorite childhood club and put on any colors."
The collective dimension of the sport is also emphasized in the main marketing slogan of EA Sports FC 24 - "Welcome to the club."
Comments under the trailer suggest significant interest from the gaming community. The same, however, cannot be said of the cover, revealed shortly earlier on Twitter.

The main criticism directed towards it are the rather disappointing character models. Many commenters emphasized the archaic nature of the cover:
"This graphic looks terrible, and the game isn't even out yet," writes Caleb Pongratz.
"It looks like the PS3 graphics are back," notes SAF Cal.
Soccer fans also point out that the the athletes' characters featured on the cover in no way resemble their real-life counterparts.:
"I won't buy or play the game until you fix the facial scan of [Bukayo - ed. note:] Saki," declares - Ballin.
The absence of iconic players, such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, has also caused controversy among some.
The media hype that has been created around EA Sports FC 24 clearly indicates how eagerly awaited the first installment of the new football series is. We will have to wait until July 13 for more information. That's when a full gameplay trailer is to be presented.
