A game that, in theory, no one needed, has arrived on Steam. Nevertheless, the production of doing absolutely nothing is positively received by players.

Nothing â?? remember this title, because it may soon become famous. It's a free game that recently hit Steam and immediately sparked enourmous interest.

What did the work of a single developer, Pixelatto, do to win the hearts of players? Absolutely nothing. Because that's what the game is all about. Literally - the gameplay involves doing nothing. At first glance, it seems simple, but as the creator claims: "this is the hardest game you've ever played", because performing any action results in failure. The goal is to achieve the best time result of doing nothing.

At the time of writing, Nothing has 520 reviews, 93% of which are positive. So it looks like the $100 fee that Pixelatto had to pay to get Nothing on Steam wasn't wasted.

Among the comments you can come across humorous statements that Nothing is better than Valorant, Overwatch 2 or The Day Before. There are few negative opinions, and if they do occur, they most often concern the lack of cooperative mode and a visible scoreboard.

One of the players also reports that even though he danced in front of the monitor, the game counter still worked. Even though it's a joke, it touches on an issue that could have realistically occurred in the game. Initially, Nothing was supposed to gain access to the camera and microphone to control the player's honesty. For safety reasons, this function had to be turned off.

According to SteamDB's data, Nothing was played by 528 people at all-time record. Many significantly more ambitious projects may envy the game its reception, which in a sense is a joke.

Nothing is not the only work in Pixelatto's portfolio. In 2019, the creator also created the platformer Reventure. The game about a hero who "sometimes goes off the rails and goes where he shouldn't" also enjoys great acclaim on Steam (97% positive reviews).

Another project from Pixelatto is in the pipeline, titled Something. It will be the complete opposite of a do-nothing game.
