Something for DC Fans; Gotham Knights With 4-player Co-op [UPDATED]

Gotham Knights will offer four playable characters. Until now, everything pointed to the fact that in the co-op mode we'll play only together with one other person. Now it turns out that playing together with as much as three other people can be one of the options.

Update

Warner Bros confirmed that the co-op mode in Gotham Knights will be intended for two players only, but the company does not rule out additional four-player modes - new information will be will be revealed later today.

Original message

The release of Gotham Knights is still a few months away. The eagerly awaited game will be released on October 25. this year on PC, PS4, PS5, XONE and XSX/S and will offer single- and multiplayer modes. So far, all indications were that the latter would only enable us to play together with one friend.

This could have been considered strange since there will be as much as four playable characters - Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl and Red Hood. However, it is possible that delaying the game's release from 2021 to 2022 gave WB Games Montreal time to develop a 4-player co-op.

This is suggested by the game's card on the PS Store, where we find information, that Gotham Knights will offer co-op for four players.

Could it be a mistake?

Even if it's not a mistake, it's impossible to say whether it means the possibility of finishing the whole campaign with three friends by your side, or maybe the introduction of a dedicated mode. So there's no need to get too attached to this information, although it certainly raises a lot of hopes.

Summer Game Fest 2022

All doubts should be resolved in about a month - during the Summer Game Fest 2022. Many upcoming games will be presented during the event hosted by Geoff Keighley and it is very likely that Gotham Knights will be one of them. SGF 2022 will take place on June 9 at 11 am PT.
