During the gamescom 2022 Opening Night show, short gameplay from the upcoming game High on Life was revealed. No one at the show seemed to expect swearing weapons.
High on Life is a humorous FPS that was announced during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. During today's gamescom ONL we saw a rather lengthy three-minute footage of a boss fight. After watching it, I don't think anyone can deny anymore that the game is overseen by the creator of Rick and Morty, known for its specific humor.
A considerable part of the dialogues during the fight has been "bleeped"; the weapons in High on Life definitely know their swear words. We will have to deal with a game filled to the brim with absurd humor.
The gameplay itself, on the other hand, looks interesting. Shooting looks satisfying - despite the constant cursing of weapons. Moreover, combining this with arcade elements (rocking on a rope around a platform with a boss) further diversifies the gameplay.
Perhaps before the release of High on Life, which is due as early as December 13 this year, we will get more gameplay footage. The game is expected to arrive on PC, Xbox One and Series X/S. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to try out this vulgar title for free.
