How to Defeat Bear in Aska and Survive the First Encounter

The wilderness of ASKA holds many challenges, from enduring harsh winters to confronting wild animals and mythical creatures. Among the most formidable predators is a mighty bear that may cross your path. Here’s a brief guide on surviving your first bear encounter and overcoming this powerful beast.

How to Defend Yourself from the First Bear Encounter in Aska

The first bear attack in Aska will happen sooner than you think. It is expected to occur between days 14 and 17. If you don’t prepare yourself, it can ruin everything that you and your tribe have built and potentially kill everyone. Here are some tips to help you defeat your first bear:

1. Have at least 2 or 3 tribe members that can assist you in the battle.
2. Build a Workshop Pit and craft some weapons at the Crafting Table. Equip yourself with a bow and a melee weapon, preferably a Heavy Club. Don’t forget to make weapons for your villagers.
3. Train yourself and your fighters in the Barracks or Archery Range to level up your skills.
4. Spend some time training your light and heavy attacks on wolves or other smaller enemies. Learn to dodge perfectly to increase your chances of avoiding damage during the fight.
5. Use buildings and surroundings to your advantage. Bear can focus on other objects or get stuck between them, then try to shoot it with your bow and arrows.
6. Learn the bear’s attack patterns, and after it charges, use heavy attacks to deal lot of damage.
7. If you’re worried about your tribe members and constructions, you can lure the bear out of your settlement. Approach it or shoot it with a bow, then quickly lead it away from your village.

The first bear encounter is designed to be a manageable challenge, not a village-ender. You'll receive a notification when the bear leaves the area. However, as the game is still in Early Access, occasional bugs are possible.
