How to Unlock Utopia Speeder in NMS

The Fractal Update brings many novelties to NMS, among them Utopia Expedition and Utopia Speeder. In this guide we will tell you how to unlock the new ship.

Fans of No Man's Sky can be happy. The game got Fractal Update yesterday. It introduced a few new features into the title. There is a new ship among them. It is called Utopia Speeder. Some players compare it to vessels from Star Wars franchise. In this guide we will tell you how to unlock it on all saves.

How to get Utopia Speeder in NMS

To acquire Utopia Speeder in NMS, you have to finish new Expedition. It is called Utopia. We write more about it here: How to Start the Utopia Expedition in NMS. However, you have to hurry, it lasts only for 6 weeks! Nevertheless, the quickest players report that it can be completed in few hours, but to be sure don’t wait for the last moment.

How to unlock Utopia Speeder in NMS for all saves

Once you have completed Utopia Expedition, you can unlock Utopia Speeder (and the rest of expeditions’ rewards) on other saves, too. To do this, you need to go to Space Anomaly. It is a mobile space station. You have to fly there for the first time. Nada will call you, when the time comes (after you finish Tutorial). After the initial visit, you will be able to summon it while in space.

Now you have to go to Quicksilver Synthesis Companion. Talk to the robot and pick “Collect expedition rewards” as your conversation option. Sadly, Utopia Speeder is free only in Utopia Expedition mode, you have to buy it if you want to use it on other saves. You must pay for it 1400 Nanites. However it is a really good and nice-looking ship.
