Patch 7 for Baldur's Gate 3 on PC was released. Larian Studios introduced the announced mod support, many other new features, and changes to the game.
Larian Studios has addressed the concerns of players who like to play Baldur's Gate 3 with mods (and need to wait for them to be updated) or who prefer to delay downloading Patch 7 for other reasons. To stay with the "old" version of the game on Steam, just select ("release_patch6_hf9") from the list located in the "beta" tab in the game properties.
The developers of Baldur's Gate III have finally released the much-anticipated Patch 7, which introduced many new features and fixes to the game. PC users will be the first to check the major update, while console and Mac owners will have to wait until October 2024.
The devs have reported that the patch is 11.6 GB on PC (10.62 GB on Steam) and requires a minimum of 160 GB of free disk space for installation. The creators have stated their intention to release several more patches, with some of them including features such as crossplay and a photo mode.
All details about Patch 7 for the third "Baldur" can be found in the post by the Belgian studio. Below, you will get acquainted with the most important changes that have been implemented in the game.
Despite the need for a few more updates, the Baldur's Gate III development is gradually nearing completion, as highlighted in the extensive announcement from Larian Studios. Let's remind that the PAX West 2024 fair has recently ended, where the developers spoke for the last time about this RPG.
It's also worth mentioning that Baldur's Gate III on PC can be purchased at a lower price until September 9, 2024. On Steam, we will currently pay $47.99 for this RPG (the standard price is $59.99). Meanwhile, on GOG, the game costs $50.37 (instead of $62.97).
