BattleBit Remastered is a low poly FPS. It is a very ambitious game. The developers are planning up to 254 players on a single server, very advanced environmental destruction capabilities and multiple vehicles - driving, flying and floating. The game has not yet had a launch, but it is currently playable thanks to playtests. One of these is taking place right now. Battlebit Original vs BattleBit Remastered
It can be said straight away that there is no such thing as a Battlebit Original (and at the same time there is). There was no other game before Battlebit that could be called an original. So why does Battlebit have Remaster in its name? It is related to the long production cycle.
The developers explain that the game has been in production since 2016 and a lot has changed. Apparently "the game has been rewritten 3 times, and its core worked 2 times". So it could be said that there has only ever been one Battlebit game, however, it has undergone so many changes since the original version that the developers felt the word Remaster was more fitting for the current state of the game compared to its origins.
BattleBit Remastered Release Date
BattleBit Remastered is currently in the playtest phase. You can sign up for it on Steam. Many people are worried that, due to the long development process, the game may actually never be released. The situation is not improved by the fact that in their FAQ on Steam the developers mentioned that early access was due to start in 2022.
The creators assure on Steam main page and on their Patronite that they are planning an early access release in Q1 2023. It remains to be seen next year whether their predictions will come true.
