At last, fans of Yakuza have lived to see the launch of Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. The newest addition to this old series seems to be well received by players and critiques. However, Yakuza 8 has a small problem – language bug. Players report that their game is in English, even when they pick Japanese. Let’s talk about it.

Yakuza 8 – Language bug, English instead of Japanese

Many players report that regardless of their language option, they can hear English and Japanese voices in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. The interesting part is that the problem does not apply often to the whole game, but its parts. We may ask a question – is it really a bug?

First of all, the opening cutscene puts off some players. However, other fans point out that the intro is in English by default and the language changes later.

Some people also mentions that only part of the game is in English, for example they can hear Japanese in most dialogues but not during level-up screens or emotes.

Taking into consideration the place of the game, Hawaii, we must face the fact that it may not be a bug but an artistic choice of developers. Everything will be clear in a few days.
