Major Expansion Turned into New RPG. King Arthur: Legion IX Will Be Sequel to Player-Appreciated Knight’s Tale
Studio NeocoreGames revealed the tactical RPG King Arthur: Legion IX release date. The title, originally intended as an expansion to Knight's Tale, will hit the market next month.
We have good news for all fans of the tactical RPG King Arthur: Knight's Tale. NeocoreGames studio revealed that the announced last year expansion Legion IX has been transformed into a standalone game. This, however, is not everything. The title, in which we will lead the titular Ninth Legion during the invasion of Avalon, will be released on May 9 this year. Below you can watch a short gameplay trailer of the upcoming game.
The action of King Arthur: Legion IX will take place in the same dark world as the aforementioned Knight's Tale. This time, however, players will take on the role of the undead Roman legionary Gaius Julius Mento, a warrior who managed to return to the land of the living in the depths of Tartarus. To establish Eternal Rome in Avalon, the tribune must once again gather his faithful companions and decide whether he wants to regain his humanity or lose himself in demonic nature.
Players will assume control of a team of 6 characters, each with their own unique story and skills to be continuously developed during the game. The devs emphasize that the tactical aspect will be extremely important during the game. To achieve victory, we will need to skillfully use "covers, traps, flanking, and an in-depth observation system."
In addition to effectively managing our party during turn-based duels, it's important to ensure that the appropriate facilities are provided for your team. Intelligent planning will also be necessary due to the limited resources required for this.
On the release day, the title will only be available on PC. However, considering that Knight's Tale was recently released on consoles, it can be expected that Legion IX will also meet a similar fate.
