Successful RPG King Arthur: Knight's Tale Expects Big DLC; Dark Cinematic Trailer Available

Next year, NeocoreGames will provide players with an expansion to King Arthur: Knight's Tale, called Legion IX. The developers will put a Roman campaign in it.

NeocoreGames encourages players to return to the island of Avalon in King Arthur: Knight's Tale. The developers of this tactical RPG announced today a sizable expansion for the said game, releasing a very atmospheric trailer (below).

According to the developers, the expansion should debut in the first months of 2024.. For now, the final release date of the DLC has not been revealed.

The new content will introduce into the gameplay the Roman Ninth Legion, which consists of returning soldiers, with their commander in chief. The army will discover a way to get to Avalon and will prepare to launch an invasion of the island.

Players will experience this Roman campaign from the perspective of a tribune who will command the Ninth Legion. In addition, they will receive new dueling mechanics, heroes and enemies in the game, as well as learn about the secrets hidden by the Lady of the Lake.

Recall that King Arthur: Knight's Tale launched on PC on April 26, 2022. The title will also appear on February 22, 2024 on current-generation consoles, namely PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Players who have played the game generally give it positive reviews. It currently has more than five thousand reviews from Steam users, just under 84% of which are positive.

The game's rating looks slightly worse on Metacritic, where the average score from critics is 76/100 (based on 34 reviews).
