Tactical RPG Miasma Chronicles Got Release Date; New Game From Mutant Year Zero Devs

A new game from the creators of Mutant Year Zero has received an official release date. The tactical RPG set in America ruined by cataclysmic events will be available soon.

Miasma Chronicles, a tactical RPG from the creators of the warmly received Mutant Year Zero, has lived to see its release date announced. The game will debut on May 23, this year, while fans of physical console releases will have to wait until June 9.

The new game from The Bearded Ladies will take us on a journey through a devastated, post-apocalyptic America of the near future. The main character named Elvis, along with his robotic companion, will be forced to survive in this inhospitable environment, assisted by a mysterious glove received from his mother.

A mix of real-time and turn-based combat

The gameplay is expected to be a mix of real-time exploration and turn-based top-down combat.. The latter aspect of gameplay evokes obvious associations with the studio's previous game, as well as with similar games from the genre, such as the iconic XCOM.

In Miasma Chronicles, like in the aforementioned title, there will be a mechanic related to the cover system or percentages describing the chance of hitting enemies.

Those interested in the game are encouraged to take a look at the gameplay trailer released a little over a month ago.

Miasma Chronicles will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
