Microsoft Flight Simulator Mod Enables Us to Drive a Car

Modder MrFace shared an interesting project that enables us to drive a Mitsubishi car in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Microsoft Flight Simulator received an interesting mod that enables us to explore the virtual world from behind the wheel of a car. The mod is named [DRIVABLE] CAR Mitsubishi PAJERO and was developed by MrFace.

As the title suggests, the mod enables us drive a Mitsubishi Pajero. The car is available in a special version, used at airports as part of the so-called marshalling, i.e. visual communication between pilots and ground staff. Alternatively, we can also check out the police version of the machine.

The mod works very well. The car has a lot of details and a pretty realistic driving model. Additionally, exploring the world of Microsoft Flight Simulator from the road provides a very different experience. Not everything looks perfect from this perspective, but as a result the mod can be very useful also for developers of new sceneries, making it easier for them to find imperfections.

It is worth mentioning that [DRIVABLE] CAR Mitsubishi PAJERO is not a completely new project. MrFace ported an older modification - FSX Mitsubishi Pajero, which was originally prepared for Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

This is not the first mod to add a car to the latest installment of the series. Earlier this year, there was buzz about the deLorean project based on the machine made famous by the Back to the Future film series, but that mod mainly focused on enabling us to fly that car.

[DRIVABLE] CAR Mitsubishi PAJERO is much more realistic. Fans of such project can look out for the next off-road car for Microsoft Flight Simulator, which will soon be released by SimWorks, authors of the Okavango Delta add-on, among others.

How to install mods to Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Installing mods to MSFS is simple. You need to drop the mod folder (in this case "Mitsubishi PAJERO") into the "Community" folder. You'll find it at:

"C:\{USER NAME}\AppData\LocalPackages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCacheLocal\Packages\Community"

"AppData" is a hidden folder, so if you don't see it, you need to enable the "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" option in Windows settings.
