Microsoft Flight Simulator is a new installment in the legendary series of flight simulators. The project was developed by one of the teams of the Xbox Games Studios group.
The game is the first full-fledged version of the series since the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator X in 2006. Unlike the simplified Microsoft Flight, pleyaers get a powerful simulator that offers a lot of aircraft and covers a large part of the Earth.
The authors put emphasis on realism. They have obtained licenses from real manufacturers, thanks to which all machines have been meticulously reproduced, both in terms of the appearance, the on-board instruments, and their maneuverability.
The game is quite challenging. The player must learn how to operate each machine separately, how to create and execute flight plans, and how to deal with changing weather conditions.
Microsoft Flight Simulator offers rich content. One can choose from a wide range of machines, from light aircraft to wide body jets. There is also a comprehensive set of missions available, but there are also options for free flight.
The game has impressive visuals. The machines have been reproduced down to the smallest detail and the locations are dripping with detail thanks to the use of satellite used images for their creation. Such solutions have their limitations, which usually affect the level of detail of the map. However, the developers of Microsoft Flight Simulator avoided this with the help of Azure's artificial intelligence, which provides much better object recognition and a higher level of detail.
