Looking for the location of your save files in Tokyo Xtreme Racer? It’s a good idea to copy them now, since Cloud saves are still not an option.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer, released in early access, has some technical difficulties such as missing sound and fatal errors. However, the most significant problem affected Canadian players, who were unable to enjoy the game due to legal complications. Now, a new issue has emerged: save file corruption, leaving players concerned about losing their progress.
The situation is quite concerning for some Tokyo Xtreme Racer players, as their save files have mysteriously vanished, leaving them with no option but to start over from scratch. Reports suggest this issue tends to happen during crashes, which end up corrupting the save data.
Given this, it’s a good idea to back up your save files manually to avoid losing progress while waiting for the developers to implement a Cloud saving feature – something that really should be standard in games these days.
The developers decide where the save files are stored, and for Tokyo Xtreme Racer, the location is as follows:
This means that if you want to make a backup copy of your save files or transfer them to another PC or device, like a Steam Deck, that’s the folder you’ll need to access. Just be sure to copy everything in that folder to avoid losing any progress, especially if you’re dealing with potential crashes or data corruption.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
