The Seamless Co-op mod for Dark Souls: Remastered has finally been released. It reworks the online mode to turn it into a full co-op game that can be played with friends from start to finish.
LukeYui is a creative modder who specializes in developing mods for FromSoftware games. His most famous project is Seamless Co-op, which introduces a fully-fledged cooperative mode to Elden Ring, allowing players to complete the entire game together as a single team—from the tutorial all the way to the campaign finale.
The modification became so popular that the creator began developing similar mods for other games by the studio. The latest of these has just been released and it’s called Dark Souls Remastered Seamless Co-op.
Currently, the mod is available in an early version (designated as 0.0.2), so it still has quite a few imperfections, but it already offers tons of fun. The mod transforms Dark Souls Remastered into a fully functional co-op RPG. To achieve this, the author had to implement numerous changes.
Importantly, by using the mod you do not risk a ban. Seamless Co-op utilizes an alternative network system and does not connect to FromSoftware's servers. It also creates separate save files, so players don’t have to worry about corrupting their character progress while playing cooperatively.

As it stands, all that's left for the creator is to introduce full co-op to Dark Souls 2—and we'd be surprised if such a project wasn’t already on his radar.
