Extensive new footage from Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League by Rocksteady has hit the web, featuring a closer look at the gameplay as well as the storyline. In addition, we learned about the game's system requirements and price.
As announced, today studio Rocksteady served us a massive dose of information on the upcoming action game Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.
A 20-minute video has hit the web as part of a new series advertising the game (below). It presented a solid portion of gameplay, as well as some story background.
Latest gameplay fragments from Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League have highlighted the key role that the game's movement system will play. It is fast and impressive, yet different for each of the four villains. All characters will also have a unique melee attack, a set of weapons that can be used, as well as a special ability known as "suicide strike."
In addition, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will feature minor RPG elements, such as character progression. It was also reiterated that we will be able to complete the game either solo or in co-op, and the title is expected to receive solid post-release support in the form of free content or a combat pass, among other things.
The latest video from Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been more to the liking of gamers than the loudly criticized video from February, however, it's still hard to talk about excessive optimism.
Most of the commentators approach the game with caution, fearing that it was designed from the beginning with cooperative gameplay and game-as-a-service model in mind.
"The plot has potential, I like the style and graphics, and the movement and combat look cool. My main concern at this point is the mission design. Since we found out that this is a cooperative game, my expectations have almost completely disappeared, because a four-player cooperative game can't be designed like the Arkham series for a single player. Also, the live-service game environment can hurt. I see the potential, but the structure and the overall gameplay loop will be what will determine it [the success - editor's note]."
"I'm worried about the game, but at the same time I'm excited about it."
"No one doubts that the story will be good. That's what Rocksteady is doing. They're doing it right. However, I am worried about the nonsense that surrounds the storyline. After this video, I'm more cautious than ever before."
On the occasion of the reveal, the developers from Rocksteady also presented us the game's system requirements and price.
Let me remind you that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is scheduled for release on February 2, 2024..
