Review Bombing on Steam Apparently Did Something; NieR: Automata Will Get a Patch

PlatinumGames announced that NieR: Automata on Steam will receive an update. This comes after a significant commotion that ensued after it was announced that the Game Pass edition of the game is better than the one available on Valve's platform.

Last month a small scandal broke out in connection with NieR: Automata. It all started with the information that the version of the title available on Game Pass on PC has improvements and additions that cannot be found in the edition released on Steam, which unfortunately in some respects is far from perfect. And although reports of the superiority of the former over the latter did not turn out to be true, the bad aftertaste remained, mainly in the form of negative reviews on Valve's store. To alleviate some of the dissatisfaction of the players, PlatinumGames decided to prepare an update for the Steam version of NieR: Automata. As the company's representatives announced on Twitter, it is currently being worked on.

As for now, it is not known when owners of NieR: Automata on Steam will receive the described patch. All details are expected to be provided soon.

NieR: Automata is available on PC since March 17, 2017. The title can also be played on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S thanks to backwards compatibility).
