Gord is a Fantasy City Builder That Draws on The Witcher and Frostpunk

A trailer for a new Polish strategy game has appeared online. The game in question is Gord, a city-builder with survival game elements reminiscent of The Witcher 3 and Frostpunk.

GORD IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Independent city-builder with survival elements;
  2. Polish game combining dark fantasy with Slavic mythology;
  3. To be released in 2022 on PC.

Today an independent Polish studio Covenant announced its debut game called Gord. It is a fantasy "adventure strategy" game with survival elements set in a medieval Slavic reality. Based on the trailer, internet users found the work similar to well-known Polish games such as Frostpunk and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Our main task will be to manage the fate of the Tribe of the Dawn - this is primarily associated with keeping its members alive, building an appropriate settlement, and sending our people on dangerous missions with a dark, religious context. It will be a combination of several different genres, the most prominent of which will be the city-builder aspect.

Gord has already received its official page on Steam, so we know the game's expected release date, although it is not precise. The game will launch somewhere in 2022 - so far only on PC, we know nothing about potential other platforms. Those interested can add the product to their wish list.
