No Man’s Sky is known for its interesting Expeditions. The new one is here. Omega Expedition offers fresh challenges to the player, but it adds some interesting possibilities, too. Now, you don’t have to start a new game to take part in the adventure. It is possible to “transfer” your save. Let’s check out how to do it.

How to start Omega Expedition in traditional way

Of course, it is worth to try the new Expedition, as you will be able to collect a new ship, Starborn Runner, check out how to get it in our separate article.

If you are a new player or traditionalist, you can still start a new Expedition in an old way. To do that:

  1. Enter the game.
  2. Pick “Play the Game” or “Multiplayer”, it doesn’t matter.
  3. After seeing the list with saves, pick New Game.
  4. There is an Expedition window in the upper right corner. Just press it.

How to Transfer Save to Omega Expedition

The new update, Omega, introduced a new way to start Expedition 12. Now you can transfer your main save to the adventure.

  1. On your main save go to the Space Anomaly.
  2. Find a new terminal – Expedition Terminus.
  3. Thanks to it you will be able to create technology and cargo loadout to take with you to Omega Expedition.
  4. You will be able to use the above when you reach the Space Anomaly in the Expedition 12.
  5. Once you get to Expedition Terminus in New Expedition, you will be able to create a copy of your active on the main save Multitool and Starship. It is called Equipment Synthesis. Of course, you will have to pay for it with Nanites.
