No Rest for the Wicked was awaited by thousands of players. Right now the game is played by over 25 000 people with a peak at almost 34 000 on Steam (via SteamDB). The title was released today in early access. While many gamers enjoy their experience, it is clear that there is some space for performance improvement. What’s more, controls can’t be changed.

Fans are disappointed with performance in No Rest for the Wicked

Right now, No Rest for the Wicked has mixed reviews on Steam, with less than 60% positive opinions. Many negative comments, if not most of them, mention performance issues, as the major or one of the main game issues.

People are also pointing out that keybinding in the game cannot be changed. Comfortable controls are extremely important in action games based on skill. Many developers allow players to rebind them freely, or at least partially. It is a brave move not to include such an option. As we can see, not all players appreciate that.

Of course, many fans also praise the game, naming interesting exploration and challenging fights as positives. So, it’s not all bad.

We need to remember that the game just entered early access, so players should take into consideration this fact. EA means that we should expect some problems on launch, and we buy the product on our own risk. Of course, it does not mean the games should be broken on day one, but we must take some deep breaths before deciding if we like what we see or not.
