No Trace is a low-poly top-down clone of Hitman

If you like the Hitman franchise, you may want to keep an eye on No Trace, indie top-down stealth action game about a professional assassin. No Trace will launch on PC later this year.

UK-based indie studio Square Mountain is working on a low-poly top-down stealth action game about a professional assassin. For obvious reasons, No Trace, as the game is called, bears similarities to the Hitman franchise – here too you have to infiltrate a hostile environment, eliminate your target and vanish without a trace, although the perspective is different. The title will be available only on PC, and is expected to launch in Q4 2016.

Like the Hitman series, No Trace lets you meticulously plan your assassination by studying the target’s habits and use the environment for creative kills or “accidents”. At any time you can enter the so-called inspection mode, in which the game is paused and you can freely move the camera around and plan your tactics. Alternatively, you can go in like a hired gun and simply kill the guards using precision gun-play mechanics.

What’s also interesting, each mission will have impact on the protagonist’s psyche – obviously, unless you are a genetically engineered assassin, killing people has to leave a mark on your mind. Head over to official website in order to find out more about No Trace.
