Jean Grey will soon join the characters roster in Marvel Rivals. When exactly? Read our article to find out.
Marvel Rivals is a hero shooter that has many interesting characters in its roster. Mr. Fantastic, Peni Parker, Emma Frost, The Thing... Marvel universe is so abundant that it's no wonder that a new character appears periodically. And there's no better time to add someone than the start of a new season. Right now, many people are eagerly waiting for Phoenix (Jean Grey), who will be the first character added in Season 3, titled The Abyss Awakens.
Marvel Rivals has a habit of adding characters to its game at the beginning of the season and in the middle of it, not to completely disrupt the balance of gameplay. This is what will also happen in the case of Phoenix. Jean Grey will be the first character to be released with the start of the third season – The Abyss Awakens. When will that happen? Very soon, as it will be released on July 11, this year.
Phoenix is a character assigned to the Duelist role, who is designed to deal damage to opponents. She can do this from a safe distance, and can perform well as a flanker. She is better at dealing area damage than at eliminating individual enemies. Whatever the circumstances, this heroine is sure to wreak havoc on the opposing team's formation. She is voiced by Crystal Lee.
In addition to Jean Grey herself, patch notes reveal that a new map and events will be added to the game, cosmetic elements such as skins for the characters and the possibility to equip MVP animations with any skin in the game. Moreover, in the middle of Season 3, the long-awaited Blade, who has been teased for a very long time, will most likely join the roster of characters. New team-ups will be added as well as changes in the balance of some heroes (or villains).
The structure of the season itself will also change. They previously lasted 3 months, while now it will be only 2 months. This may be a good change not only because of the better meta dynamic, but also because characters will be added more frequently. As long as, of course, NetEase continues to stick to its vision of adding them at the beginning and in the middle of the season.
