Phraesto is Coming to AFK Journey, Learn Everything About New Character
With patch 1.1.15 a brand-new character was added to AFK Journey. Meet the Abyssal Illusionist – Phraesto and check his powerful skills and passive abilities!
AFK Journey’s new update brings the powerful Phraesto, a new Hypogean hero, along with exciting events and new features in Esperia. Available from June 6th, 2024, Phraesto, the Abyssal Illusionist is a tank character with some powerful Venom skills. Check all his abilities and passive effects below.
Everything We Know About Phraesto in AFK Journey
Phraesto, from the dark and mysterious Hypogean faction, can confuse reality with illusion and possesses two passive effects right from the beginning of the battle. Here’s the overview of his skills:
- Futile Echo creates an illusion at the start. This copy can attack and use abilities, including the ultimate skill, mirroring the real Phraesto. This passive skill makes it difficult to distinguish the real Phraesto until the fight starts, after which he reveals his true form. When activated, he charges ahead and unleashes a powerful burst attack, dealing significant damage to all nearby enemies while replenishing his own health.
- Crimson Contract is his second passive skill. Both Phraesto and his illusion forge a permanent contract with different heroes positioned behind them, drawing a small amount of health in exchange for powerful buffs. The buffs granted by the real Phraesto and his illusion differ, offering a subtle clue to their true identities. When this skill is active, Phraesto relentlessly attacks a single enemy in front of him, unleashing a three-hit combo that deals devastating damage.
- Vicious Sting – with this skill Phraesto inflicts his enemy with Paralyzing Venom, causing them to lose HP continuously and suffer reduced stats.
- Foggy Whisper is an exclusive skill that deals significant damage and applies a stun effect if the illusion is defeated before Phraesto.
