Do you have issues with starting Contamination, Yet A Trace quest in Infinity Nikki? There is an easy fix that will allow you to progress.
While Infinity Nikki has been with us for a while now, it has landed on Steam with a delay. When a popular franchise is released on Valve’s platform, it usually breathes new life into such titles. However, players didn’t welcome Nikki on aforementioned launcher very warmly, as they accuse the developers of predatory monetization practices. Nevertheless, the production has drawn in thousands of fans who, despite all the backlash, enjoyed the game… up to some point, as some has experienced issues with starting “Contamination, Yet A Trace” quest. It is a bug, but it can be quite easy to fix, and here you will learn what to do to move forward with Nikki’s adventure.
In the second chapter of Infinity Nikki, entitled “Old Days Lost in the Mist”, there is a quest that is supposed to be started on Serenity Island – “Contamination, Yet A Trace”. Although it appears that it is bugged, as upon arrival at the place indicated on the map, there is nothing going on. This has confused many players, but the fix is surprisingly simple.
If you have entered the area and no cutscene is playing, it means that the quest has bugged out. However, fixing it is easy, as all that is required is to restart the game. Alternatively, you can attempt reentering the area once more. This should be enough to continue exploring Nikki’s story in the magical land of Miraland in its different timeline.
Despite the charges and complaints that fans have against Infinity Nikki, it is still a beautiful, fantasy dress-up game that’s worth checking out, especially that it has no up-front cost. It’s a great opportunity to take a friend with you, since the Bubble Season update adds coop mode that allows you to enjoy adventures together. Have fun!
