One of the most controversial FPS in history, Postal 2, will get a new version. The project is expected not only to improve graphics, but it will also offer many gameplay improvements.
Postal 2 Redux has been announced, which is a refreshed version of the controversial FPS from 2003.
Postal 2 Redux will introduce a lot of changes, suggesting that we will be dealing more with a remake than a remaster. The original was created on Unreal Engine 1.5, and the new release is being developed on the latest version of the Unity engine.
Unfortunately, the devs haven't yet announced when the release of Postal 2 Redux is scheduled.
The story of how the decision to refresh was made is really interesting. Studio Team Beef recently announced that they are working on Postal 2 VR. While working on this project, the team had to break down the original from 2003 and found a bunch of things that could be improved. Together with the publisher, Flat2VR, they convinced the Running With Scissors studio (the franchise owners) to authorize a full refresh, and thus Postal 2 Redux was born.
