Season 7 of Overwatch 2 is a Crossover With Diablo [Update: Launch Trailer]

The season 7 launch trailer for Overwatch 2 has been released. We also learned some additional information about its content. Among other things, the game will get a mythical skin for Hanzo (Onryo), a tropical map called Samoa, and Sombra will receive a new skill set.

Blizzard Entertainment has revealed details of the upcoming seventh season of the online shooter Overwatch 2.

1. Season 7, officially titled "Rise of Darkness," will be released on October 10,
2. The theme of the seventh season is heavily inspired by the Diablo series.
3. The short trailer presents how one of the maps undergoes a demonic metamorphosis into a location modeled on the Diablo universe, with dark portals and Zomnics, creatures resembling mechanical zombies, familiar to Overwatch fans.
4. What's more, several characters will get new themed skins. Among them will be the one for Wrecking Ball and Moira (in this case, the heroine will receive a skin styled on Lilith).

More details are expected to be revealed soon. Overwatch 2's channel on YouTube shows a countdown to the release of the season 7 trailer. The trailer will be released tomorrow, i.e. October 4, at 6 p.m. CET.

Overwatch 2 debuted on October 4, last year on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. The game uses a free-to-play model.
