Will Sniper Elite 4 show us yet another face of the Second World War?

Sniper Elite 4 is most probably in the works and might soon get an announcement. The source of these revelations is a LinkedIn profile of an employee of Chinese outsourcing digital arts company ADIA Entertainment, where Sniper Elite 4 was specifically mentioned among other titles the person had co-worked on. Videogamer found out that Rebellion is in fact gearing up for a reveal of their new project as soon as in March at Game Developer Conference. However, the developer wouldn’t confirm the rumors. A co-founder of the studio, Jason Kingsley, said:

“To be honest we're flattered that people are actively searching out for a new Sniper Elite title, and we certainly don't mind being mentioned next to projects like Black Ops 3 and Unreal! However, the person in question doesn't work for Rebellion and we haven't announced a new entry in the Sniper Elite series. (…) We're actually gearing up to announce a new Rebellion game soon, so expect to hear more from us before GDC!"

Developing another installment in Sniper Elite series would be a logical move, since the franchise managed to sell over 10 million units. However, until it’s official we shouldn’t overassume too much. Who knows, maybe this upcoming announcement is Rebellion’s new IP? We’ll find out at GDC scheduled for March 14-18, 2016.
