At yesterday's THQ Nordic conference, information was revealed about dozens of games in development. Persistent viewers could see a message at the end of the stream, according to which one of them is a new South Park game.
Yesterday's second THQ Nordic Digital Showcase did not disappoint. During the show the publisher revealed quite a bit of information about upcoming games. It was officially confirmed that a reboot of Alone in the Dark is in the pipeline, a trailer of Gothic remake was shown, as was a gameplay trailer from Jagged Alliance 3. As if that wasn't enough, at the very end of the show it was added that 26 games were still unannounced. One of them was revealed along with an information that it is something from the South Park universe.
If someone didn't turn off the streaming immediately after its alleged conclusion, they might have been quite surprised by the bonus information. A short caption displayed after the show said:
"As of today, 43 THQ Nordic games are in development (not including those from HandyGames). Of these, 26 will be revealed AFTER the show. Thank you for watching."
After which, the number 26 was crossed out, and a short teaser appeared on the screen announcing the creation of a South Park park. At the same time a voice could be heard in the background saying "oh, it's coming". Later, the crossed-out 26 in the message was replaced by the number 25.
The teaser itself doesn't tell us much, it's just an image with characters and the caption "South Park Digital Studios". However, we know thanks to it that something officially related to South Park is being made. Interestingly, this is already the second game in development related to this universe. We learned about the first one at the beginning of this year. We don't know anything more about it either, except that it will be the responsibility of the studio credited with The Blackout Club (Question Games), and that the game will offer a multiplayer mode.

To date, the big games based on the themes of South Park Township were Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole, both titles published by Ubisoft. What will come of the fact that two games from this universe from other developers are being developed simultaneously? Maybe soon either THQ Nordic or Question Games will reveal more information about their upcoming titles.
