We learned about another new feature that update 1.6 will add to Stardew Valley. The game's developer also shared his thoughts on what motivates him to continue developing the game.
Creator of Stardew Valley, Eric Barone, shared new information with fans about the progress on update 1.6.
"While I wish he wouldn't rush and overwork himself to complete 1.6, I think we have to accept that because the developer is choosing to take on the workload himself."
Asked what motivates him to continue developing Stardew Valley, Barone replied:
"Many things, including the fact that so many people are still playing Stardew Valley, with new players joining every day. I want the game to be the best it can be. It will never be perfect, but I feel the need to keep improving it. It is currently the most important production of my life and I care a lot about it."

Initially, update 1.5 was planned as the last major patch, and 1.6 was only supposed to introduce small fixes making life easier for modders. During the work, however, Barone remembered how much fun he had making Stardew Valley, and decided that the update would be much more ambitious.
Recall that the game debuted in February 2016 on PC. It was later ported to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation Vita consoles, as well as to iOS and Android mobile devices.
