It is not unusual for games to make their way onto mobile platforms like Android and iOS, especially that our smartphones are becoming more and more powerful. It is also working the other way around. Many titles originally available only on mobile devices are finding their way to PC. Known for its ubiquitous sponsorship, RAID: Shadow Legends will release on Steam soon, while we can already enjoy Summoners War… at least in theory, as many fans experience crashes while trying to play this production. If you would like to learn more details regarding this problem, we have gathered all that is known so far.

Summoners War Steam Crashes Fix – Update (09.01.2024)

Fans on Steam Community Forum and on Reddit were able to find a solution. If the game is crashing for you, then most probably you are using Windows in other language than English. All there is to do is to change regional format setting to English (US). This should only change the way the date is displayed (MM/DD/YYYY). If it’s not enough, you can try changing the whole operating system’s language to English (US) and all the related settings.

Summoners War crashes explained – Original news (08.01.2023)

Summoners War released on Steam just recently and many would like to try it on their PC. This free-to-play title that originates from Android and iOS is now available for wider audience, though not without hiccups. Many fans have reported that the game crashes after login. For others, the title shuts down immediately after launching it. Mixed reviews on Steam seem to reflect this situation. Is there anything that can be done about it?

So far, there are no official or unofficial workarounds or fixes. Fans face this problem regardless of how powerful their machine is. Internet stability also doesn’t seem to have any importance. It appears that there is nothing that can be done as of now, just to wait for an official hotfix. If you are really desperate though, there were reports from a player who claims that launching Steam as Administrator and verifying game files fixed this problem for them. Don’t get your hopes too high though, as the crash seems to be rooted in the game itself.

With how many fans are reporting the issue, we can expect that the developer, Com2uS, will quickly address the situation at hand. Up until then, you should stay patient or enjoy the production on your smartphone.
