Reportedly, work is already underway on a new installment of Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic. A studio not associated with Electronic Arts is responsible for the game.

RPG Codex forum users have noticed some interesting activity of Aspyr Media. The studio from Texas is actively recruiting new people to work on a big RPG. Combined with the fact that it employs quite a few BioWare veterans, speculation has arisen that this is the team responsible for creating Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 (or a remake of one of the previous installments).
