TerraTech Worlds - Console (Xbox, PS4, PS5, Switch) Release
TerraTech Worlds comes out in Early Access on March 22. In this article we answer the question about the possible console release for the game.
TerraTech Worlds is the open-world PvE survival crafting title set to come out in Early Access on March 22. In the game players will be able to explore, mine and build on an uncharted alien planet. The developers promise a smooth sandbox experience that can be enjoyed solo or with up to 6 players, but will it also be available on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch? Find out below.
TerraTech Worlds – Console (Xbox, PS4, PS5, Switch) Release
One of the developers has addressed the matter of possible console release for TerraTech Worlds. The official FAQ on Steam gives the following answer to the question: Will TerraTech Worlds’ Early Access be available on console? (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch etc?)
Our focus during Early Access is on PC, and bringing the game to its 1.0 version. We would like to bring TerraTech Worlds to other platforms, but we have nothing to announce at this time.
From this reply, we can glean that the developers are potentially interested in console ports as a long-term project, but as of now, their priority is working on the PC version. In such an early stage of the plan, it would be impossible to provide a reliable timeline, which is likely why they’re refraining from making announcements.
What are the chances, however, for the console release of TerraTech Worlds to actually happen in the future? We’d say, relatively high. TerraTech, the predecessor game by Payload Studios, came out on PS4, Switch and Xbox One in addition to PC. That means the precedent exists, and there is an expectation from the fans of the previous title to make TerraTech Worlds available on consoles such as PS5, PS4, Xbox and Switch as well.
For now, players can look forward to the Early Access release on PC on March 22nd.
