New Gameplay From The Day Before Looks Like SnowRunner

A new gameplay from The Day Before appeared on the web It shows driving off-road cars. This aspect of the game seems to be inspired by solutions from such simulators as Spintires or SnowRunner.

THE DAY BEFORE IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Developer: Fntastic
  • Publisher: MyTona
  • Genre: Action/MMO Game
  • Platform: PC
  • Release date: Summer 2021

Another gameplay from The Day Before, a post-apocalyptic survival MMO, has been published. Despite the fact that the video lasts only half a minute, it is probably the most interesting piece of material among those released so far, because it focuses on presenting off-road driving.

In the gameplay we can see how the jeep driven by the player laboriously wades through thick mud. The whole thing is more reminiscent of what off-road simulators like Spintires or SnowRunner offer, rather than the solutions traditionally found in online shooters with survival elements.

It is not known yet how extensive this aspect of the game will be. We do not know whether it will be just a short rest before exploring cities on foot, or whether driving through the wilderness is to be an important part of the game. It is worth noting, however, that among the previously released screenshots there is one that shows jeeps driving through snow, so we can at least be sure that we'll get a variety of maps to traverse in vehicles.

For now, The Day Before looks like Tom Clancy's The Division with the addition of zombies. The latest material shows, however, that the authors will not be limited to copying solutions from Ubisoft's series and will also draw inspiration from other games, including those from other genres.

The Day Before is developed exclusively for PC. The launch will take place in the second quarter of this year.
