Netflix has announced the deadline to resume shooting for the second season of The Witcher. The chosen date makes it possible for the production to have its premiere next year.

Netflix officially announced that the production of the second season of The Witcher series will resume on August 17. This is two weeks later than suggested by recent reports, according to which the filming were supposed to restart already on August 3.
As you may remember, the work was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Originally new episodes were to be seen next year. Resuming of production in two months should make it possible to meet this deadline, although the premiere is to expected in the second half of 2021.
The theme of the second season is to be family. The creators assure that this time there will be no time leaps which irritated a large part of the audience. In the production we are to see more witchers, including Vesemir.
