If you are wondering whether there is cross-play in Darktide, we will answer this question for you in this article. You are welcome to read it.

The pre-order beta for the game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide launched today. Thousands of gamers have gathered to play together. It is a production that allows for co-operative combat against hordes of opponents - a concept that has many supporters. However, players are wondering if there is or will be cross-play in the game. This is not an unfounded question. In this article, we will answer it.

If you are curious about other Darktide topics, please see our guide - Warhammer 40K: Darktide Guide.

We are sorry, but we have to sadden fans and say that the answer to the cross-play question is no - there will be no such feature at launch. However, in their statements, the developers do not completely dismiss the idea. Nevertheless, they strongly emphasise that such a feature should not be expected.

When asked by a fan about the possibility of cross-play between Steam and Gamepass players, one of the developers replied that it was not impossible and they were exploring the idea. However, it certainly won't be a day 1 feature, and he even cautiously added that it shouldn't be expected. However, the tone of the statement makes it clear that the chances of cross-play cannot be crossed out. Or at least not in the case of different PC platforms.

Nevertheless, if you are planning to buy the game with this feature in mind, we recommend holding off. If you are already playing, we wish you the best of luck.
